When my TN visa entered its grace period, I started asking the questions anyone would: E-2? F-1? How fast does this move? The answers changed depending on who I asked.
I ended up in a consular process in Monterrey, with an interview, a 221(g) for social media review, and finally an F-1 visa in hand weeks later.
None of this was written down in one place. That’s why Yoseph exists, and why I’ll keep writing here about what I learned along the way.
